11 Oct Jeans Day
Is it me or do you notice that whenever Jeans Day come around people tend to….slack off? Don’t get me wrong, you should be more casual on Jeans Day, but don’t let the word “jeans” translate into “lazy”. And by lazy I mean, not putting any effort into what you wear.
I totally understand that sometimes it can be a chore to dress professional every day, but you can still be professional in jeans. I also understand that some of you dread wearing a uniform every day so you look forward to Jeans Day, but you still shouldn’t look thrown together.
Ladies and Gentlemen, it’s time to invest in a nice pair of jeans that aren’t baggy, outdated, or completely worn out. And it’s time to pair them with a nice blouse, button up, or polo style shirt in addition to your choice of shoes–not your worn out sneakers either.
Let’s not forget for some people, on Jeans Day, sneakers are their go-to shoes. For those of you that do choose to wear sneakers, be sure to invest in some nice ones or at least take the initiative to clean up your sneakers before wearing them.
I know some of you are probably wondering what is she talking about; she can’t be serious right now. Let me tell you, I am serious…so serious. I’ve witnessed it first hand by observing corporate individuals. You would think the people that earn the big bucks would value their appearance a bit more than they actually do.
We all like the choice to be casual and to be relaxed but there’s a fine line between relaxed and not caring at all.
Below are a few different options for Jeans Day for both males and females, but let’s be realistic, Jeans Day is no different than your weekend wear with just a bit more of a polished and sophisticated feel to it.
