03 Feb Suit Up
It’s easy to look good on the weekends headed to a bar, to a club, to a concert, or to the movies, right? It’s also easy to look good when the dress code isn’t strict, right? Do you have what it takes to dress the part for an interview or to your job where you have to dress professional?
Everyone in this world isn’t lucky enough to have a job where they can go to the office in jeans and a tank top or where they can go to work in the latest fashions without showing too much skin. Those of you who are a professional like myself, we have to consider our job when searching for clothes. By that I mean, we have to buy the majority of our things that are suitable for work yet also stylish enough to wear on the weekend for a girls night out.
One outfit that every professional should own is a suit. I would strongly recommend having a navy suit or if you aren’t a fan of navy, you can opt for a black or grey suit. A business suit is essential for job interviews and for professional office attire. The plus of owning a suit is having a 3-in-1 outfit. You can wear the suit as a whole. You can take the blazer and wear it with another pair of pants, jeans, or a skirt. You can also use the pants to go with another outfit.
If you’re fashionable, you can use your suit and dress it down like some celebrities have done. You can downplay your suit by choosing more casual shoes and wearing any kind of top (if you choose to wear a top) other than a blouse under the blazer.
Let’s talk in the comments: Do you own a suit? Have you done the suit trend by dressing it down? Do you prefer a navy, black, or grey suit?
