Workout Attire

Workout Attire (6)

Doesn’t the saying go, “when you look good, you feel good”? Or in this case, when you look good, you have a better workout. Believe it or not, I really do see a change in my workout when I wear cute workout pants/shorts. It gives me an extra boost of confidence and makes me want to do an extra rep or two.

When I initially began working out I didn’t have a lot of workout clothes in my wardrobe. I only had two pair of black pants and a variety of soffe shorts that I would wear with a big t-shirt. I’ll be honest, I was okay with what I had on but I didn’t feel cute nor did I have a lot of confidence while working out. (You would think it doesn’t matter when you’re going to sweat in them anyway, right?) I refused to spend a lot of money on workout pants because the majority of them were plain and essentially, they all looked the same.

I am gracious enough to have a personal seamstress who is also my mama. I convinced her to help boost my workout wardrobe by choosing fabrics that are bright in color to compliment my personality. I absolutely love every pair she makes(Want a pair? Let me know). Whenever I go to workout, I know I’m supposed to be there to sweat, burn calories, and build muscles, but I go there to turn heads as well. Just because I’m working out doesn’t mean I can’t be the center of attention there 😉

So let’s talk: What do you generally workout in? Do you think that your gym attire influences how you workout?

Hi Raven you are in very good shape honey. When I grow up I want to be like you, and where can I buy some of those workout pants; they are so cute. I wear my black ones and gray ones over and over. I enjoyed reading your post as well, I look forward to your next fitness article.

Love your workout outfits! It must be where I’m going wrong as I have no motivation to work out at all – but I only have baggy t-shirts and black sports trousers!

Haha, girl trust me, I was in your position. Once you start wearing clothes you actually look cute in and want to wear, the gym will feel like the mall.

Thats so lucky to have a customize workout wardrobe! Ive stop going to gym but if I got a chance to do some aero-dance at home shorts and tshirts is all that I wear. Im not much of a fan of long pants or jeggings.

I actually prefer the pants to shorts. Idk, it’s something about working out in shorts that doesn’t want me to make that my first option to wear. But you’re better than me to do aerobic dance, pssssh I couldn’t do it.

Such cute workout clothes, girlie! Wow, your mom is really talented, I could’ve sworn that the first pair were from Calvin Klein’s performance line (my fave)! I totally agree, I definitely notice a difference in my energy and overall workout when I wear fun and cute workout clothes as opposed to something really basic. Thanks so much for sharing and I hope you have a wonderful week ahead!
